Larger QUARTZ Specimens

 07113aa.JPG (55573 bytes)

Temptation has led us to buy in yet more larger clear, smoky and natural citrine quartz crystals, some of which have been wholly or partly polished, and often have inclusions or veiling. The surface is often polished clean, as Madagascan crystals tend to naturally have quite a "chalky" outer surface, but ALL points are natural terminated crystals, and not cut from massive quartz material. This means that the energy of the crystal remains virtually intact and is directional. Freeform shapes are usually polished from damaged terminated crystals, where it is not possible to polish off the termination, or from much larger pieces of material or roughs.
The crystals shown weigh from 3 - 18kg each and are priced between £90 and £1200. They are not expensive for their size, and will make wonderful centre pieces for a healing, teaching or meditation room or for use as personal meditation or journeying pieces. Click on the thumbnails for an enlarged picture.
Shown above is a natural citrine cluster, with inclusions of mica crystals and skeletal and record keeper aspects (already sold I'm afraid!).
Amethyst specimens are now shown on a separate page (Amethyst Geodes and Beds).

Although not a big fan of heat-treated amethyst (sold often as "citrine"), this is a lovely bed with a delicate and clear energy. It has lovely white edges, and reminds me a slab of cake - probably why I like it! It weighs 5.1kg and measures 11"x 15" high. It is quite happy to be stood on end, and would make a nice piece for a study or workplace.

Just for a change this point is from Brazil, and mounted on its own stand to help keep it stable. It is a totally natural terminated point, that has been lightly polished on the faces to give a really clean termination. It is full of rainbows and has loads of potential! It weighs 8kg and measures 6"x 14" high. Although expensive, bear in mind that it is a natural grown point, and not a cut and polished point carved from a massive quartz deposit.

This is another fine specimen from Brazil. It is a mounted partly polished intact clear quartz point, with some tiny inclusions of fine black tourmaline within.
It weighs 4.5kg and measures 8" x 6.5" max.

Here is the "piece de la resistance"! A one-off special that will never be seen again. This is a huge polished off deep smoky terminated crystal, extremely densely rutilated and with marvellous sagenite inclusions. There are tiny "tunnels" running through this crystal, showing where the inclusions once were in some cases, coming to the surface and then disappearing again! The pictures show that a lot of the rutile is white - rather like very pale straw running throughout the crystal. This "baby" weighs 19.6kg and measures 6"x 19" high. It is going to be an amazing piece for someone out there!

This is a really rare and unusual formation, being a partly polished skeletal elestial laser formation, with air pockets and rainbows. Although not conventionally pretty it is a fascinating crystal that will appeal to the real crystal enthusiast who will appreciate its assets! It weighs 2.4kg and measures 5"x 7" high.

My favourite crystals! This is an amazing cluster of white candle quartz (celestial / pineapple quartz) and the largest specimen I have yet acquired. It is a large triplet and weighs 8.7kg and measures about 8"x 12" at the largest points.
SOLD

Other candle quartz points and clusters are available weighing between .25kg and 3kg, and costing between £20 and £125. They include double terminated singletons and clusters and self-healed specimens - plus some have cathedral aspects! Contact me for more details - I have too many to photograph them all!
